Restaurant Review: West Innes Subway

There have been a few grumbles around campus that, since Mondo’s is being replaced with a snazzy new Starbucks, finding semi-healthy meals close to campus just got a bit harder. It’s probably a good thing, then, that Subway decided to open its newest Salisbury location right down the road.

Located in the old Port City Java building, it still carries the feel of a coffee shop with darker colors and innovative lighting. The menu, however, is as familiar as ever, so there are no surprises there. Subway also didn’t do a lot of remodeling when they moved in, so the old vault room is still an option for a dining area, as is the outdoor patio.

So, for the Mondo’s fans who will have to say goodbye to their sub-sandwiches at the end of the semester, it’s still a lunch option—you might just have to travel a little farther to get it.
