What’s The Best Eye Shadow For You?

Today, most make up companies are producing eye shadow colors that match your eye color. It’s true! Certain colors do highlight your eyes and really make your eyes “eye popping!” So what color works best for you?

For brown eyes the best colors are greens and purples. These two colors really makes the eye pop and lets the brown really shine. Also bronze and gold colors can make brown eyes look hazel like, and can dissipate the darkness of the browns. I have brown eyes and I’m a firm believer in green eyeliner! I put green eyeliner on the bottom lid of my eye and draw it to a point at my corners. The green attracts people to look in my eyes and highlights the brown. It makes my eyes seem like they have a hint of green.

Blue eyes on the other hand you want to stick with neutral colors. If you apply a color that is too dark such as dark green, the color of your eye will become over powering and will take away from your eye color. Stick to light browns, beige, and gold.

Green eyes like blue eyes should not use over powering colors either. Stick to neutral colors as well or even a light shade of violet. These colors really help to make the green in the eyes pop and make the green look even greener.

If you have hazel eyes take in consideration that you have both brown and green in them. You have the most color selection out of all of the eye colors. You can choose from both green eye colors and brown eye colors.

Black eyeliner works for everyone, but be careful my blue eyed girls; the smokey look can work for you, just do not over do it. It will take away from the blueness in your eyes.

Feel free to experiment though! Using blue eye shadow on brown eyes is a big no-no in the make up world, but I love using blue when it incorporates in my outfit. These are not rules but more along the lines of guidelines for what will highlight your eyes the best. See what works for you!
