Looking for some good Japanese that’s affordable? Try Katana Japanese Fusion.

Katana Japanese Fusion is just a short drive from Catawba’s campus, and the food is probably one of the best “fast” Japanese Restaurants I have been to. I ordered the Hibachi Chicken and within a few short minutes my food was sitting right in front of me, cooked to perfection.

Katana offers a variety of food from starters to combo entrees. Starters range from “Crispy Rangoon Wontons” to “Ka-Bang! Shrimp,” which all have a traditional spin of their own. Katana not only has Japanese but they also have a Sushi Bar.

Throughout the restaurant the vibe is really relaxed and very welcoming. The music includes a fusion Japanese style that is entertaining.

Katana’s prices range from $2.50 to $21.00, but don’t be alarmed my Hibachi Chicken was only $6.00 and I had enough food leftover. Don’t like Japanese? No worries, they also serve salads, noodles, and veggie dishes. Katana also offers specials which include a Sushi Lunch Special- any two regular sushi rolls, and the third one is on them. Another special includes a Lunch Kraving Special, which includes Petite Chicken for only $6.95.

Katana Japanese Fusion is located at 475 Jake Alexander Blvd. near Food Lion.
