Women’s Soccer Defeats The Bears

Women’s soccer won their home game on Wednesday, October 7th, beating Lenoir-Rhyne 3-1. Although Lenoir-Rhyne was able to get on the board first during the first half of the game, the Lady Indians came back with two goals, scored by Katie Gair and Tasha Wilhelm respectively. During the second half, the Indians held a tight defense and did not allow the Bears to score. The offense also managed to get another goal, scored by Maria Borland. The win over Lenoir-Rhyne improves the Indian’s record to 8-3-1 overall and 3-1 in their conference. The Lady Indians will be on the road at Carson-Newman for their next game on Saturday, October 10th.
