The roar of the Daytona 500 is only thirteen days away, but for some NASCAR fans the season started early. NASCAR Preview 2013 brought the drivers and new cars of the 2013 NASCAR season together under one roof on Saturday, February 9th.
The NASCAR Hall of Fame and Charlotte Convention center partnered to bring the event to fruition. Thousands of fans lined up outside the Hall of Fame to get a chance to see their favorite driver. Drivers including Dale Earnhardt Junior, Jeff Gordon, and Denny Hamlin attended the event and signed autographs.
Besides the autograph sessions, the preview included Q&A sessions with the drivers and a few technical displays. 2013 NASCAR cars were also on display, so fans could see the differences between the cars of today and yesterday.
Booths were set up representing different racetracks from across the area. From Daytona to Martinsville to Rockingham, a plethora of racetracks attended the event and offered free prizes. In addition, fans could enter for a chance to win tickets to the races.
Racetracks were not the only NASCAR partners represented, as Sprint, Fox Racing, Motor Racing Network, and Performance Racing Network also joined in the festivities, among other NASCAR sponsors and partners.
