The People Behind The Paper – 25 Things about Amanda Drake
1. I am obsessed with giraffes
2. I love the color pink
3. I have a female pit bull and I am an advocate for the breed (they are highly misunderstood)
4. I am a barista at Port City Java
5. I have one younger brother named Andrew
6. Pizza Hut is my favorite place to get pizza because they are the only ones with stuffed crust
7. I am a Salisbury native!
8. I am addicted to sweet tea
9. I took Cosmetology classes while in high school
10. I have been a customer sales representative, a hostess and a waitress before becoming a barista
11. I am blessed to be a godmother to my best friend’s baby boy, Evan
12. I absolutely hate the cold weather
13. I had planned on being a teacher from the time I was in kindergarten, but realized it wasn’t for me
14. I have been a to mission trips in New Mexico and in Prince Edward Island, Canada

19. Why did you join the staff? I was requested to join for work study and thought it would be a great opportunity to be a part of getting the newspaper online
20. Favorite staff memory this year: Getting the new template up and running
21. Favorite article you have written: One of the first articles I wrote as a part of the newspaper last year, “Pilots for Paws” about the dog rescue project Dr. Moreland is a part of
22. What academic year are you? Sophomore
23. What have you learned so far while working? That there is a lot of work put in to get a newspaper online.
