Taking place in South Florida on February 7^th 2010, Super Bowl XLIV (44) will be one for the NFL history books. Making their first-time appearance at the Super Bowl, the New Orleans Saints take on the two-time Super Bowl champions, the Indianapolis Colts. Drew Brees facing off Peyton Manning, two of the NFL’s best quarterbacks, will make for a great game. The game begins at 6:00 P.M., but the students at Catawba have already voiced their opinions about who is going to win.

“I don’t really care about either team, but my roommate really wants to the Saints to win.” Robin Tynes, Sophomore; Music Theater Major.

“Since Brett Farve isn’t in it anymore, I don’t really know who I want to win.” Marie Griffin, Sophomore; Elementary Education Major

“SAINTS! The Cowboys already beat them, so I’ll be happy.” Doug Barron, Sophomore; Sports Management Major

“Saints. I just think they’re a better team” Ashton Alexander, Freshman; Music Education Major

“Anybody but the Colts!” Kyle Hendrick, Sophomore; Undecided

“I like the Saints! I don’t like the quarterback of the other team [Peyton Manning]. I wanted the Jets and the Vikings!” Sydney Byerly, Freshman; Elementary Education Major.

“COLTS! ‘Cause I want an AFC team to win!” Laela Ghorbani, Junior; English Major.

“I want the Colts to win. I’m a Panthers fan, and the Saints are in the Panther’s conference.” Stephen Wingate, Junior; Business Administration Major.

“The Colts are going to win, because Peyton is unstoppable!” Terrance Johnson, Freshman; Exercise Science Major.

“Colts! They have been to the Super Bowl, they have the experience.” Phil Russ, Senior, Physical Education Major.

“Saints! It’s fate! They’ve never been there before and they deserve it. They had a great season and they took Farve down!” Todd Goble, Junior, Business in Economics.

“Saints! I just think they had an amazing season!” Stephanie Hill, Junior, Elementary Education.

So there you have it. Saints fans (6), Colts fans (5) and (1) undecided, maybe she’ll pick a team during the game. Don’t forget it’s February 7^th, at 6:00 P.M.! Gets those chips, wings and sodas ready it’s going to be a great game!
