For the last day of activities before the big Catawbapalooza event, Delphi and DAS provided the school with their annual luau. Starting at lunch, the Delphi girls were lei-ing students, which was a reminder for the big event that was to follow. That evening, a stage was set, steel-drums were up and a surf-simulator was ready for action.
The Delphi girls took control of the microphone and helped emcee the event to make it as big of a success as possible. Jen Trout and Aly Halter hosted the sexy-leg contest, which Kevin Flebbe stole from the competition, as well as the “Aloha-Hop” race across the brickyard. DAS served barbeque to all the students and provided corn-hole, Catawba’s new favorite activity, to the students who wanted a little Hawaiian flair before the end of the year. The decathlon also was a great hit with the tug-o-war contest and the never-ending hula hoop competition.
Saturday is the big day with the biggest events of the week. The entertainment is ready and the rides are a go. Catawbapalooza is in full effect.
