Catawba College’s Corriher-Linn-Black library has recently started enforcing new closing hours. Previously, the library closed at 11pm, but this year it started closing an hour earlier. There were even a few instances where S.M.A.R.T. center tutors were locked inside because they did not leave right before 10pm! After communicating with some of the library’s staff, they stated that with limited staff available, they are unable to retain the same hours as they had in previous school years. After interviewing a few students, some wished the library remained open longer, but since the student center remained open, it did not bother them too much. Most students did not even seem to notice that it closed an hour early, despite the dismay and inconvenience of a few.
When do you think the library should ideally close? Feel free to comment your opinion below!
