Meet Tyler Ulrich, a 5’11” midfielder on the Catawba men’s lacrosse team from Ephrata, Pennsylvania. Tyler is a senior this season and he is number 8 on the field. In the classroom, Tyler is a communications major. Tyler graduated from Ephrata High School and when he is not participating in lacrosse related activities, he enjoys going skeet shooting (shotgun sports) and he also likes to play golf.

I asked Tyler what he wants to do after college for a career and he replied, “My parents own a restaurant, named Udder Choice, in Pennsylvania where I am from and I hope to be able to expand it to multiple locations.”  I also asked Tyler what are some goals that he has set for himself for this season and he replied, “I want to contribute more to the offensive side of the ball and for the team we would like to win the first SAC championship” because this is the first year that Catawba Lacrosse has been affiliated with the SAC.

I asked Tyler what has been his favorite moment while playing lacrosse for Catawba, and he said, “the 3 consecutive conference Championships in Deep South Conference that we have won in all the seasons I have played at Catawba, so they were all good because of that so I don’t really have a favorite out of the 3.”

I asked Tyler what his favorite thing about playing lacrosse is and he replied, “just having a good time bonding with my teammates since we are really close team and winning because it is always a lot more fun when we win.”

The Catawba men’s lacrosse team is currently 4-4 overall and they are 2-1 in conference play. The next game for the Indians is Saturday at home against Tusculum at 7 P.M.
