Are you ever super bored when it is down pouring at Catawba? Ever wonder what one can do around campus on a rainy day? Well, as we all know, we have been getting a lot of rain these days, and it is never fun to hang outside to get soaked.

It is really popular for students to hang out on the steps of the stoop in between classes, but with the rain many do not find that quite appealing. Instead, a better option on these rainy days is to head to the student center and sit on the comfy couches. The student center is always one of the best settings to mingle with friends, catch up on good and, possibly even, bad stories about the weekend, or ask about what is being served in the Cafeteria.

Another really fun, cozy place to hang out at is McCorkle’s. Whether you are cold from the rain or just do not feel like staying outside, this is an excellent spot to grab a coffee and sit back and relax. They have various new flavors of frappuccinos and are always so delicious!

Another great thing to do during rainy days is head to the Wellness Center and get a workout in, the workout videos are especially fun and can keep you going. Especially since the rain can make many students sleepy.

Netflix is also a really awesome option. Grab some friends, an HDMI cord, and project the movie or TV show you guys select on a TV or wall. Buy some candy, popcorn, or whatever your favorite snacks may be and transform your rainy day into a fun filled day!
